Located in the heart of Temecula Wine Country in Southern California, the Ponte Vineyard Inn is a Four-Diamond hotel that has been ranked a Top 10 Hotel in the U.S. by TripAdvisor. Surrounded by over 300 acres of lush vineyards, the hotel offers stunning views of the Palomar Mountains under year-round sunny skies. The Inn is adjacent to the Ponte Winery and within walking distance of several other wineries, making it an ideal location for wine lovers.

The hotel offers 90 finely-appointed rooms, each with a private patio or balcony and upscale amenities including flat screen HDTV, complimentary Wi-Fi, and more. Two Grand Suites provide extra space with 1,360 square-feet, including a fireplace, living room, dining room, wine and beverage refrigerator, butler’s pantry, master bath and built-in closet. The semi-Olympic sized heated outdoor swimming pool and hot tub provide the perfect spot to relax, while the Bouquet Restaurant offers award-winning cuisine surrounded by stunning views in the garden courtyard.

On arrival, guests are struck by the elegant yet rustic charm of the Mission-style hotel, with brick pathways, Spanish tiles, and beautiful rose gardens. The hotel is expanding in early 2018 with 30 more rooms and a pool with an adjacent bar, but the principle of serenity remains the same, with designated “quiet hours” from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.

The hotel is popular with couples, families, and wedding parties, with rooms that range from 360 to 1,360 square feet, all offering balconies with views of vineyards, mountains, or the fountain. Guests can enjoy a deep, restorative sleep on ultra-comfortable pillow-top mattresses.

In-room amenities include a mini fridge, iHome docking station, and complimentary coffee and tea. The spacious bathrooms have glass-walled showers, Gilchrist & Soames products, robes, and slippers. Wi-Fi is free and there are no resort fees.

The Bouquet Restaurant is a romantic spot for breakfast or weekend brunch, offering gourmet breakfast staples like cinnamon-swirl French toast or smoked salmon on an everything bagel, as well as an all-access pass to fruit, pastries, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, fruit juices, and coffee for $24.

Guests can take a guided tour of the 300-acre ranch, including a tasting straight from the cask and a wine-and-cheese plate to finish, or try some reds and whites at the on-site tasting room housed in a former barn retrofitted with modern interiors.

With stunning views, fine reds, and all the relaxation you could possibly want from a wine country getaway, the Ponte Vineyard Inn is definitely worth a visit. Even though it’s less than two hours from San Diego, it transports you to the heart of Italy.
