History
Established in 2009.
With over 40 years of experience in the hospitality business, Papa Soro decided he wanted to open up a Mediterranean restaurant that catered to those who want delicious food and great service. He strives to keep his customers feeling welcome, all the while treating them like family. The restaurant opened in July 2009 and with the help of his family, has been able to keep it up and running since.

Business Owner
Papa Soro is an Assyrian born and raised in Baghdad, who came to the United States with his 5 siblings and mother, looking to escape life in the middle of war. He met his lovely wife, Sheri, in Michigan, all the while bartending and cooking table side at prestigious country clubs in Michigan. With his wife and three children, he decided it was time to move from Michigan. California was the next stop. From there, he opened a manufacturing company selling pita chips and Mediterranean salads. You can still find the pita chips in various stores on the west coast. He keeps the company up and running with the help of his daughter, Ashley. As successful as the company may have been, he decided it was time to return to what he truly loved doing- cooking and entertaining his guests. From there, Soro’s Mediterranean Grill was created, and his son, Dylan, coming home from culinary school in February of 2015, will be by his side to continue putting out the best tasting Mediterranean food possible!
